"Improving Waste Policy Implementation in Armenia" (WPA), Support (2022- ongoing)
Under the supervision of the American University of Armenia (AUA) Acopian Center for the Environment’s Director and “Improving Waste Policy Implementation in Armenia” (IWPIA) Program Manager, Brooks Hannas & Partners will provide services within the frames of IWPIA Program to be implemented by AUAF with funds from Sida.
Brooks Hannas & Partners provides technical expertise and support that includes contribution and responsibility to the following tasks:
- Maintain periodic communication and work with the Program Manager and, when necessary, Sida Program Officer on the Program Components and activities;
- Advise Program Manager on EPR and source separation policy and best practice;
- Advise Program Manager on key decisions and steps to carry out within three Program Components, specifically related to policy and infrastructure development, capacity building, and policy implementation;
- Advise Program Manager on the Program implementation arrangements and resource allocation needs;
- Evaluate and provide high-level feedback on Program progress based on oral or written communication with the Program Manager;
- Provide high-level feedback on specific Program deliverables, such as:
- Program Operational Manual;
- Project document on “Implementing new waste source separation system in the pilot municipality” (Program Component 2);
- Operational plan for new waste source separation in the target municipality (Program Component 2);
- Procurement management and technical documentation for waste source separation pilot project (Program Component 2);
- Procurement management and technical documentation for data collection system necessary for EPR (Program Component 1);
- Report on post-intervention review of the Program results ․
